AUSTIN, TX, September 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cheryl Clark-Brown, MD, Family Practitioner at the Clark-Brown Family Care Clinic, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in family health care.

Though she is relatively new to her post at the Clark-Brown Family Care Clinic, Dr. Clark-Brown brings 12 years of medical experience to her patients, particularly in her areas of expertise: preventive medicine and women's health. She is responsible for seeing patients, monitoring laboratory work, and diagnosing and treating illnesses. Though she attributes her success to her dedication, hard work, and perseverance, it was her parents' battles with cancer that truly motivated her to become a medical professional.

Dr. Clark-Brown completed her residency at Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital in 2002, having received her MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, in 1998, and her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Texas A&M University in 1993. She is a board member of the Texas Medical Association holds memberships to the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians. In 2010, she received both a Patient's Choice Award and a Most Compassionate Doctor Award. Dr. Clark-Brown aspires to open another office in the near future, employing more doctors and nurse practitioners. She also hopes to do more home visits because she enjoys geriatric care.
