Theresa M. Vallerand to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Theresa M. Vallerand celebrates over 25 years in the health care field

DOVER, NH, August 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Theresa M. Vallerand, CTR, Cancer Registry Manager of the Seacoast Cancer Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in administrative operations.

With 27 years of professional experience, Ms. Vallerand serves as a cancer registry manager of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. In her position, she ensures the hospital adheres to all state regulations and manages cancer reports and accreditation. She attributes her success to her passion for her profession and caring nature.

Ms. Vallerand began her career as a cancer registrar for St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. She was later employed by Precyse Solutions, serving as a consultant at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Ms. Vallerand received a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies from the University of Connecticut, where she was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society. She is a certified tumor registrar with the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA). At the NCRA, she serves as the chairwoman of the Ethics Committee and the editor of The Connection. Ms. Vallerand is a member of the Cancer Registrars Association of New England and a former member of the Cancer Registrars of Maine, where she served in several leadership positions. She has also volunteered with the American Cancer Society, Inc. In the future, Ms. Vallerand intends to become the director of a cancer program or a hospice.
