Fred A. McCurdy's persistence and hard work enable him to thrive as an assistant DIO for the UT Health Science Center San Antonio

HARLINGEN, TX, May 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Fred A. McCurdy, Assistant DIO for the UT Health Science Center San Antonio, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medical education.

As an assistant DIO for the UT Health Science Center San Antonio, Fred A. McCurdy is responsible for overseeing graduate medical education programs in the Rio Grande Valley. He became involved in this part of his profession because he wanted to take on a leadership role, and he attributes his success to his persistence as well as his hard work.

Dr. McCurdy received his MD in Medicine and Ph.D in Cancer Immunology concurrently in 1976 from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He is a member of AOA, and a fellow of the Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physician Executives.
