/Cancer News Articles/ - KALAMAZOO, MI, June 08, 2008 — Prima Communications, Inc. is donating its services to the West Michigan Cancer Center to assist them in the development of communications tools. The partnership with WMCC provides opportunities for hands-on training for Prima employees and increases the potential for new positions at Prima.
This collaboration will give Prima a unique opportunity to provide new talent with practical experience at WMCC. Prima employees will be able to gain firsthand knowledge of the methods of developing procedures, process maps, business analyses, and much more under the supervision of seasoned Prima employees. As Prima grows, the company will continue training new employees through the partnership with WMCC.
For the West Michigan Cancer Center, it's an opportunity to take yet another step in its effort to pursue the Michigan Quality Leadership Award and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award to improve patient care and organizational performance excellence.
"This really gives us an ideal situation to provide new employees with exposure to the technical communications field while also giving back to the community. We provide comprehensive in-house training, but it's really the hands-on experience that gives new employees the confidence to go into any situation feeling prepared," said Charlotte Hubbard, owner and CEO of Prima.
